WARDED PRIVATE.I don't know what I want to do. It would be wrong not to go to the funeral. I yearn to write to Bella, though I doubt very much she would return the courtesy. I have doubts that she would even permit herself to read it. It would be wrong to feign pretense, too, to behave as though I don't care about this. I did not go to Evan's funeral, but this is different. This is Papa. I may have run away but I never stopped loved my family, even though it seemed, and still seems, as though they did. But I imagine it ight be wrong to go to the funeral as well. I worry what Ted would say. That it would seem I am going back to the family that shunned me for loving him. Even after writing this, I have yet to come to any conclusion. This month is the worst.
Be mindful of your children during Hag Week.

My twenty-seventh birthday came and went without any grave mishap. I consider this a true success. And I must thank my friends and loved ones for making this past weekend so enjoyable. Unfortunately I am nursing a severe headache and this Monday has proved to be merciless after the sweet relief of the weekend.
I must say that I am puzzled that the Wizengamot has decided to retry Miss Charity Burbage. While I am relieved that there is something being done to answer to the question of whether she truly did it, I wonder that it would be more prudent simply to release her immediately. It seems a waste of time and resources to do otherwise.
WARDED TO OLIVER & ELEANOR.How are the pair of you doing? I hope you are managing things well. I understand if you cannot write back immediately. Nymphadora gave me very little sleep during the first few weeks.

WARDED TO ELLADORA GUFFY.I had told you I would pick up one of your books, so I thought it only prudent to let you know what I thought of it. I've just finished reading The Squib's Scandal. It was easily one of my favourite romances. Combined with the mystery, I fail to see how I could not love it. Jane's relationship with Auror Thaddeus Whisplington was so nuanced and coloured with conflict. I knew I wanted them to fall in love with each other by the time I finished page 47. As a child, my mother was quite vehement about her feelings on Squibs so I never knew any personally. However, it was quite interesting to read a novel through that lens. And of course, Thaddeus's realisation that he was quite infatuated with her in return was quite perfect. It reminded me a little of when I realized I was in love with Ted. It was sweet.

WARDED PRIVATE.What Mrs Meliflua said about Sirius was awful and cruel and what she said about putting him down was completely despicable and inhuman but I wish he would just let things lie. But of course he is shooting his mouth off again. And not even a week after he was put into St Mungo's for doing much of the same. He's only eighteen. How can someone so young make so many mistakes? I am appalled and I am afraid he is going to turn up dead.
It is times just like these that I know I made the best possible decision for my daughter and myself when I distanced myself from everyone. I could not justify raising Nymphadora in an environment lie that. And subjecting her to the archaic ideologies that my sisters believe. I may miss them, but I could never go back to that. I won't.

These giants certainly make my job harder. As do the Death Eaters and Lord Voldemort, of course. But we at the Office of Misinformation are often milling about now like chickens with our heads lobbed off in order to smooth over the damage they've done in Ottery St Catchpole and Tinworth. (And other places, too, of course, but these have been the worst two giant attacks in centuries.)
